Nothing but praise for Danny's work ethic and the final result - This is a long review, as I feel the detail is needed to reflect upon this statement.
I used ChecaTrade to ask for quotations, with which Danny contacted me about options.
I live in a 1 bed Maisonette and I needed the following doing after recently purchasing the property:
• Cat6 Data points in bedroom (2 as broadband installed there)
• Cat6 Data points in lounge (2 to cover both ends of the lounge)
• These Cat6 cables to run through the walls, up into the roof/loft and down into a storage cupboard, to form a central location as aim to use that space to hold server / enterprise grade hardware.
• A double plug in the storage cupboard.
• A double plug in the kitchen, on the opposite wall, next to the existing light switch.
• Replace the bathroom extractor fan ceiling unit,
Danny came out to the property to take a look, advise and explain everything that would go into the work I was after.
I received a quotation for the work, to which I felt this was more than reasonable. Especially since no other Electrician offered to come out to the property or even discuss - They were price first and appeared as though they would only share further interest, if I agreed to their initial pricing.
Danny came round today. Fair play to his work. We both expected that several exploratory holes would be required (varying plasterboard and joist locations, along with odd existing internal wiring). Danny was able to navigate the challenge well. Meaning that where the socket was to be placed, of all the sockets, only one hole is left for me to patch up at a later date. Something that I commend Danny for, as if I were to do this myself, the flat would look like Swiss Cheese.
Note that for the drywall / plasterboard that I need to patch up, Danny made sure to replace the hole with the plug he cut out. So I have minimal effort needed to patch and paint.
As for the sockets themselves, Danny took pictures on his initial visit, which meant that everything matches, or is barely even noticeably different at all.
Where the supplier of one of the sockets gave him a mismatched twin data point, he went out of his way to obtain a replacement before finishing the job - so no need for a second callout.
Danny ensured to test everything he was doing and with each step in his process, Danny was careful to tidy up any mess created by drilling, etc. while ultimately aiming to cause as little a disturbance or damage to the property.
All loose bits of wire, cable ends, connectors, etc. etc. were removed.
Once Danny was complete, you would not have known that all this work went into the project. It took me less than 5 minutes total to quickly go round with the hand-held hoover to collect the last remain specks of dust (which probably wasn't even needed).
Like I said at the start of this review, I have nothing but praise.
I would highly recommend Danny and as I will have additional work required on the property in future, I won't hesitate to use his services again.
As a final note, Danny spent a full working day at my property today. His manners were impeccable. Communicated with me regularly, while giving me options and listening to any feedback or suggestions I had.
Danny was able to translate everything into a completed project he should be proud of.
I just received my final invoice and transferred the funds without question.
Edit: I've removed the photos I took, as Google Reviews appears to heavily compress the images and the unfortunately don't do justice.
I may re-add these photos when I have better lighting, or find a way to get round this compression.
Thanks
